Overview

In our September 2024 release, we are introducing changes to the logic used by the Internet Domain Inspector, which will impact how certain metrics are pulled and formatted within Liongard. These changes are expected to trigger alerts and change detections, signaling updates to the following key metrics.

Impacted Metrics:

Metrics targeting items in the following list will potentially see changes in both the logic and formatting, which may cause alerts to trigger when a difference is detected:

  1. Website Exists

  2. TLS/SSL

  3. NS Records

  4. SPF, DKIM, DMARC

  5. CNAME

  6. Subdomain List

  7. TTL

  8. MX Records

User Guidance:

We recommend that users review the triggered alerts and the associated change detections following the release. Due to the updated logic, alerts can be reviewed for any expected changes. Once confirmed, you can acknowledge and close the alerts in their Liongard environment if the detected changes are expected and not a cause for concern.
