Liongard allows you to create Parent / Child Environment relationships to better represent real-world infrastructure, ownership, and organizational hierarchy. This is commonly used for:
MSP parent companies and managed clients.
Hub-and-spoke infrastructure models.
Shared services environments (e.g., centralized Microsoft 365 or Active Directory).

Creating a Parent/Child structure helps:
Accurately model organizational relationships.
Improve reporting clarity.
Group related environments under a single parent.
Reduce dashboard clutter for large deployments.
How to Create a Parent / Child Environment π§
Step-by-Step Instructions
Log in to Liongard
Navigate to Admin β Environments
Locate the environment you want to make a Child
Click the pencil (βοΈ) icon under the Actions column (do not click the environment name)
In the Edit Environment panel:
Locate the Parent Environment field
Select the desired Parent Environment from the dropdown
Click Save
When to Contact Support π«‘
Contact Liongard Support if:
The Parent Environment option is missing
Changes do not save or reflect correctly
You need guidance on large-scale hierarchy design
Include the Environment name(s) and screenshots when possible.
