Overview 💥
Actionable Alert Templates in Liongard control which alerts are generated and where they are routed. Each Environment can be associated with one or more Templates to ensure alerts are delivered to the correct teams, tools, or workflows.
This article explains the current, supported ways to add or remove Environments from Actionable Alert Templates using the latest Liongard UI.
Why Would You Change Environment–Template Associations? 🤔
You may need to update Environment–Template mappings when:
Alert routing requirements change (e.g., different PSA).
New Environments are added.
An Environment should no longer receive alerts from a specific Template.
You want to apply or remove Templates in bulk.
Keeping these associations accurate ensures alerts are actionable, relevant, and correctly routed.
Where to Manage Environment–Template Mappings 🧐
Navigate to: Admin → Actionable Alerts → Templates → Environments
This page provides two supported methods to add or remove Templates for Environments.
✅ Option 1: Edit a Single Environment (Pencil Icon)
Use this option when you want to update one Environment at a time.
Steps:
Go to Admin → Actionable Alerts → Templates → Environments
Locate the Environment you want to modify
Click the Edit (pencil) icon in the Action column
Select or unselect the Template(s) you want to apply to this Environment
Click Save with X Templates at the top of the page
Result:
The selected Templates will now be applied to or removed from the Environment.
✅ Option 2: Bulk Add or Remove Templates (Recommended for Multiple Environments)
Use this option when you need to apply the same Template change to multiple Environments at once.
Steps:
Go to Admin → Actionable Alerts → Templates Environments
Select one or more Environments using the checkboxes
Click the Action dropdown
Choose one of the following:
Apply Template(s) to Selected
Remove Template(s) from Selected
Select the Template(s) you want to add or remove
Click Save with X Templates at the top of the page
Result:
The selected Template changes will be applied across all chosen Environments simultaneously.
Comparison: Single vs Bulk Updates
Method | Best For | Key Benefit |
