Overview 🧭
When Liongard integrates with third-party platforms such as ConnectWise, IT Glue, Autotask, or similar PSA and documentation tools, it must communicate securely with those systems over the network.
If your organization enforces strict firewall rules, IP restrictions, or API allowlists, you may need to explicitly allowlist Liongard’s Integration IP Address to ensure integrations function correctly.

Why Allowlisting Is Required 🤔
Many third-party platforms restrict inbound API traffic to approved source IP addresses as part of their security posture.
When Liongard:
Pushes documentation
Syncs configuration data
Creates or updates tickets
…it does so from a dedicated Integration IP Address. If that IP is not allowlisted in the target system, requests may fail or be silently blocked.
What Needs to Be Allowlisted ✅
Liongard Integration IP Address
This is the source IP address Liongard uses when communicating with external integrations.
Item | Purpose |
Integration IP Address | Used for API communication with third-party tools |
Application IP Address | Used for Liongard platform (UI) access |
📌 Note
The Integration IP Address is different from the Application IP Address and must be allowlisted separately if required by the integration platform.
How to Locate Your Integration IP Address 🧑🏫
Follow the steps below to find the correct IP address to allowlist:
Log in to Liongard
Click your profile name in the upper-right corner
Select Account Settings
Open the My Liongard Instance tab
Locate the row labeled Integrations IP Address
Field Name | Description |
Integrations IP Address | IP address used for third-party integrations |
Application IP Address | IP address used for Liongard UI access |
Region | Hosting region for your Liongard instance |
Use the Integrations IP Address value when configuring allowlists in external platforms.
Common Integrations That May Require Allowlisting 🧩
Integration Type | Examples |
PSA / Ticketing | ConnectWise Manage, Autotask |
Documentation | IT Glue, Hudu |
Other APIs | Tools enforcing IP-based access controls |
ℹ️ Reminder
Always review the integration vendor’s documentation for IP allowlisting requirements, as enforcement varies by platform.
Common Symptoms of Missing Allowlisting 🚨
Symptom | Description |
Data not syncing | API calls blocked by firewall |
Tickets not created | Integration traffic rejected |
Intermittent failures | Partial or incorrect allowlisting |
No visible Liongard error | External system silently blocks requests |
Troubleshooting Checklist 🛠️
Before contacting support, verify:
✅ Integration credentials are valid
✅ Correct Integration IP Address is allowlisted
✅ No additional geo-blocking or API restrictions exist
✅ Integration is enabled and configured correctly
💡 Tip
If the integration works from another Liongard instance, compare Integration IP Addresses between environments.
Best Practices ⭐
🔐 Allowlist only the required Integration IP Address
📘 Document where and why each IP is allowlisted
🔁 Review allowlists after security or firewall changes
🧪 Validate integrations after configuration updates
When to Contact Support 🦁
Contact Liongard Support if:
You cannot locate the Integration IP Address
Allowlisting is confirmed but integration still fails
Behavior changed without configuration updates
You need clarification on integration requirements
Please include:
Integration name
Target platform
Confirmation that the Integration IP is allowlisted
Relevant timestamps or error messages (if available)
Relevant Screenshots
Important Notes & Disclaimers 📌
Liongard does not manage third-party firewalls or API policies
Allowlisting requirements vary by integration vendor
Integration IP Addresses are instance-specific
IP values may change and should be periodically reviewed
ℹ️ Terminology
Liongard uses “allowlist” instead of “whitelist” and “blocklist” instead of “blacklist.”
