Problem: Synology NAS inspector is failing with the status details “Synology NAS | The Admin Username and Password should be set.”

Steps to Resolution:

This happens when the Inspector is activated from discoveries without being edited first. You must provide an Admin username/password on the Inspector Edit screen for the Inspector to function.

Outcome: Once credentials are entered, the Inspector should then complete.

Alternatives: If issue persists, please contact Support.
