If you are experiencing issues with installing the Liongard Agent, here are some troubleshooting tips to help you resolve the problem:

  • Verify URL, Access Key, and Key Secret:

    • Please double-check that the URL, Access Key, and Key Secret being used with the MSI installer are correct. Any incorrect values may prevent the agent from being installed.

  • Uninstall older versions:

    • If you are attempting to update the agent and encountering issues, it's possible that some older versions of the agent cannot be updated to the latest version. In such a case, try uninstalling the old agent first and then installing the latest version.

  • Use Command Prompt or PowerShell:

    • If you are receiving an unclear error message during installation, try running the following command in Command Prompt or PowerShell:

    • msiexec.exe /i "C:\Liongard\LiongardAgent-lts.msi" /L*V "C:\Liongard\AgentInstall.log"

Please change the paths to match your environment. This will generate a log output that should give you a better idea of what the problem may be.

  • Check Firewall and Antivirus:

    • If your install log contains an error message containing "System.Net.WebException," double-check your Firewall and Antivirus to verify nothing is being blocked. Your Firewall or Antivirus may be blocking the agent's installation process, preventing it from completing successfully.
